I was worried about the hiking part of things, as I am not really a fit person (that's putting it nicely) the hiking part is actually not that bad. I saw a dad in Crocs carrying one kid on his shoulders and one in each arm as he did the hike, it's not going to kill you, but also be prepared, I wore trainers but if you wore a comfy pair of shoes you could do the hike. I did the hike around midday with a lot of stops, yeah, there are enough spots to take breaks take pics and just enjoy the views. I didn't actually stop to enjoy the plants and flowers as I was rather excited to do the hike and on my out I was just tired to stop and smell the roses. Just one more reason to go back, soon.
My overall experience is that I definitely need to go back a lot, in fact, as its close to home and the entrance is R40 and you don't feel the walking till the next day.
