10 on 10

So this week my 10 on 10 is about Damon Salvatore!

So a recap on what is 10 on 10. I will list ten reasons why I would date Demon and ten reasons why it would not work out and PS I'm talking about Demon not Ian Somerhalder. Thus, yes, again, he has a brother as well but unlike last week I didn't choose Demon over Paul oops I mean Stefan. I simply am doing Demon 1st as he is older.

Ten reasons why I would date Demon:

1. He is totally smoking hot. Hell yeah I like a guy who is easy on the eye. Gotta think of the kids we are going to make. Am I right or am I really right?

2. His personality. At times it sucks, but he's honest and sarcastic. I suppose I like a guy who has a good comeback!

3. He and his brother don't mind dating the same girl. How often do we date someone and find their sibling to be better looking, this is a win win situation. No? Just me? Ok different strokes for different folks.

4. He will kill to keep me safe. Perhaps this is not really a plus as killing is bad.

5. He's rich. Yo mama loves to shop. 

6. He looks unbelievably sexy in a black leather Jacket. Love a bad boy in a leather jacket.

7. He would be amazing with our kids and their history homework, as he lived through it all. Can he make babies? Or is that just Edward?

8. He can't die! Well, technically he can but yeah, you know what I mean.

9. His ability to move fast, he could be at my house is a matter of minutes. How often do you wish your boyfriend could just come over at the speed of light with Demon it's possible.

10. His smile. It's so Georges I cannot resist it!

Ten reasons why it wouldn't work out!

1. He's in love with someone else. Call me old fashion, but I would prefer the guy I'm with to love me and be in love with only me

2. A lot of anger there. He's not a normal dude, one temper tantrum and my whole house will be smashed. I detest cleaning.

3. Tons and tons of enemies! Yeah, I really am not into playing hostage.

4. His eating habits. I don't desire to be a vampire as I really love chocolate and pizza and I really don't want him sucking my blood, or having to give him blood.

5. He will look the same even when I'm 50 and he's 305, call me shallow, but if I get wrinkles so should my partner I can't get ugly alone.

6. He could turn me into a vampire. I could be dying and  he doesn't want to lose me so he turns to me. I don't want that specially since Bonnie's witch powers are gone bye bye, I won't have a daylight ring so I'll be bonded to chill only at night.

7. I might prefer shower time with Stefan rather than him. 

8. Old lovers might make appearances too often for my liking. Sometimes the past should stay in the past.

9. He might wipe out someone I love to get back at me. I have a habit to look for a fight and pull out the break up card so if I did that with him and he killed someone I love every time I will have no family left before our 1 yr anniversary.

10. This is overly important to just mention once! HE IS IN LOVE WITH SOME1ELSE!

This follows the post from the Gaza dinner. I purchased two t-shirts. This is the 1st look post with one of the T-shirts. I bought the t-shirts from Tasneem Qureshi - secretary of Purple Bandage, Roshnee. They have a variety of designs and sell for R100 each and they donate towards to Gaza so it's a great cause to support.

My Look:

I am obsessed with bodycon anything. I enjoy dressing up and hardly do it now a days. All black is chic but I felt like kicking it up a bit with my shoes and lip colour. The tee is very loose fitting, so pairing it with a bodycon skirt really brought in the element of one loose fitting piece with one tight fitting piece. I used a belt just to tie the old outfit together. I didn't add a chain or earrings, but if you choose to add accessories to a similar look keep the chain pendant small if you have a tee with writing and if it's plain add a bold statement necklace, however don't do a bold chain and bold earrings. 

Tips:

One thing I have noticed about us ladies is that we overdo on colour. I love the colour blocking trend, but I feel sometimes we need some neutrals in our lifetime.

1. Keep it simple. Put on one piece of colour and keep the remainder of the outfit neutral. If you prefer more colour, then pick your outfit to be in colour and your accessories to be in neutrals.

2. Try to do one colour accessories and the rest neutral. 

3. One common mistake people often do is make up. It's simple either do your eyes in colour or lip but never both! Similar to the necklace and chain rule.  

4. Don't ever wear something if you are not comfortable. If you are uncomfortable with something it shows and you will end up looking untidy and messy.

5. Don't be afraid to go a size up in bodycon or a size down. It all depends on the individual. 
Body con works differently for different people. Maybe going down a size will give you a better effect or a size up will compliment your body better.

CII Gaza Ambulance Drive Dinner

I was fortunate enough to attend the CII Gaza ambulance drive dinner. For those that doesn't know what CII is, CII stands for Channel Islam, and it is a dynamic Islamic Satellite Radio station that reaches out to a global audience daily. Bringing Islam to the world and the world to you.

The dinner was to raise funds for new ambulances in Gaza. I arrived early to the event, but regrettably I could not get a good seat right in front as the front tables were reserved and the back was non reserved non the less I still got to hear the speakers loud and clear.

The event was at the Image Lifestyle in Fordsburg. The decor was lovely. As the guest arrived the room filled up with women wearing scarves in the colours of the Palestine flag. The event commenced at 7:30 and Ebrahim Gangat opened the evening. He spoke of attacks that the people in Gaza had to endure about how people are trying to survive, what is a typical day currently in Gaza. Then he spoke about how they planned on raising funds at the dinner. The CII crew came prepared even if we only have plastic on us they were prepared as they brought a card machine, which I think was really clever of them.

I Personality thought I knew what was happening in Gaza because of all the photos I've seen on social media sites, but I don't think I fully realized how bad it was till the guest speaker DR Mads Gilbert did his presentation. I saw  graphic photos the doctor had taken, my heart broke to think that world leaders are standing aside and not doing anything to stop the war or stop people from killing babies and women. Regrettably, I didn't take any notes when the DR Mads spoke.

After being presented with all that information at the dinner it woke me up to how bad things are in Gaza and now they have stopped the bombings and killings but the distractions is still there. Yesterday Gaza schools re opened and I kept reading about how many students weren't returning from their summer break as they had passed on due to the attacks in Gaza.

I beg you to donate and support the course to Free Gaza.  

10 on 10

10 reasons why I would date Dean Winchester and then 10 reasons why it wouldn't work out!

So I am a huge fan of the TV series Supernatural.  The Winchester brothers are hot, but one is hotter then the other and this is my 10 reasons why I would date the hotter bro, oh an if you a bit confused, I'm not talking about the actor that plays Dean Winchester but the character dean in the show.

1. The body. He is in great shape since he's a hunter.

2. The car. He drives a black 1967 Chevy Impala how sexy is that. Merely the sound alone is sexy then you have the driver who is beyond sexy.

3. He makes his own sandwiches too. I'm always asked can I cook, but here is a good looking guy who can fix his own food.

4. He's all about family honor and legacy. How can I resist that. A bad boy who will do anything to keep his family safe and alive.

5. His voice, it's deep, confident, strong and I would love to hear him say my name.

6. The fact that he can pull off a suit. It's unbelievably sexy how he rocks a suit.

7. He doesn't mind checking on that noise I think I heard from the room where the light is off. Yes, at times I get paranoid and he checks weird things out for a living. A match made in heaven, I'd say 

8. He doesn't have a love interest or lost his true love so yes, my chances are wide open.

9. His eyes. Even though he's a killer his eyes are innocent and that the door to his sole.

10. He says the best things. I even appreciate his sarcasm.

Reasons why it wouldn't work:

1. He is almost always on the road. I need a snuggle buddy at night and he's not home every night.

2. He takes his work home with him. I don't mind a few late nights at the office, but in his case, it's blood thirsty killers, oh no thank you.

3. He doesn't hang out at nice places or stay in decent places. I guess at this point he will leave me, I like pretty things and staying at pretty places so yeah shady motels in heaven knows where places won't cut it for me.

4. I won't be able to dress up. He never has down time he's always on the job.

5. I won't enjoy him cleaning his knives and guns at the dinner table.

6. He's a demon now so I don't think that will play too well with my religious beliefs.

7. My parents will hate him. Which actually will only make him more appealing to me.

8. I might just get kidnapped by his enemies and no I'm not into the whole my knight in shining armor will rescue me bs

9. Definitely won't enjoy cleaning the blood, salt and graffiti on the walls later on each kill.

10. Last reason why it wouldn't work out between us is because there is a huge chance ill get turned into a demon as payback by his enemies.

All in all looking at his body I think I would chance it! The road to hell is paved with good intentions or so I hear! Hope you enjoyed my post on 10 on 10 looking forward to do more in the future so watch this space.

Good bye Winter 2014

Definition of winter:

The coldest season of the year, in the northern hemisphere from December to February and in the southern hemisphere from June to August.

I felt like reflecting on my winter as it was a good season for me. I got my 1st Job in winter. We in the Southern Hemisphere had our fasting month in winter, and most of all I grew up. By growing up I mean I had to develop my own finical independence as I was working now and my parents felt it was time I put on my big girl pants. I dream of being a successful stylist, but the road of being a stylist is difficult, so I got a job in retail as a window dresser. It's exactly like the styling, but with dolls. I felt like it was playing dress up. Unfortunately, after a while I realized this job is not where my passion lies and I am neglecting my hobbies so I resigned. At first I felt like maybe I wasn't giving myself a real chance, but as time came close to my contract ending I realized I made the right choice. I love the styling and am passionate about it, I wish to do it for a living more than ever now, but I also enjoy doing freelance jobs and owing my own time.

I'm so grateful to be able to realize my dreams and have the opportunity to chase them.

For the pictures in this post I used a flirter to make the pics look aged to go with the feel and tone I set in my writing.
