Glossary to a Girls World: Handbags Part 3!

This is part 3 and in case you missed or would like to brush up here is Part 1 & Part 2.

In part 3 we will be covering the Envelope, the Frame, the Hobo and the Messenger.

The Envelop:

Is similar to a clutch it may also be known to most of us as a clutch, mostly it is carried in your hand or few times a chain strap is supplied. It is rectangular in shape resembling a large envelope.

The Frame:

This handbag usually has a steel frame at the top and is shaped in an angular structure.

The Hobo:

The hobo is a medium size crescent shape bag with a top zipper, with a dip/slouch in the centre.

The Messenger:

It has one long strap, to be worn across the body. It was inspired by urban messengers who wore similar shaped bags to deliver business mail.
