Jeans Abayaah

I'm proudly wearing House of Taaliyah's Jeans Abayah. The Jeans Abaayah is self explanatory, it's an Abayah worn over your casual outfit. I don't actually do casual very well, I think. The outfit started with the shoes. Again, I bought these shoes at the Mr Price online store which I think is my new favorite pass time..

popped the outfit up with my scarf. I didn't think that colour would look good against my complexion, but I am glad I took a chance, I hope to expand my hijab horizons with more colours and if you any of you have great hijab tutorials I should check out please on twitter or Instagram @drizzlesdomain.

The lighting was good, how could I not take a selfie?

But 1st let me take a selfie.

The Jeans Abaayah is available for R500 and can be shipped at an addional cost. Exclusively from House of Taaliyah.

Magnum turns 25

I love ice cream. And one brand known very well in South Africa is Magnum. We all know Magnum ice cream as the fancy ice cream you can get anywhere, now I know there are tons of more fancier ice creams out there, (is there such a word as fancier?) anyway getting back to Magnum ice cream turning 25.

To celebrate turning 25, they lunched the red velvet ice cream, so of course I headed out and got a few to review. I think magnum ice cream is awesome, but this red velvet ice cream didn't hit the spot. I felt the ice cream tasted more like a frozen yogurt, which I didn't mind. I prefer very sweet desserts thou to medium sweet desserts.

Let's talk about the look: I think the silver packaging in elegant, FANCY, classy and stylish. Then you open the packet and you are greeted with a white cream cheese and silver bullets (not sure if you call it that) covering the red velvet ice cream.

I'm no foodie, but I do consume a lot of food and I try to eat the best. I would rate this experience a 9/10, it does tickle your sweet tooth and it won't make you feel guilty about cheating on your diet because of the frozen yogurt like taste.

You can steal my fingerprint from this picture its so clear. Thank You HD
for showing my Getto nails so clear.

Had to get a selfie with my ice cream.

B.E.G fashion lookpost

We in Johannesburg have had very peculiar weather, it's, it's sunny yet chilly, so we aren't getting to enjoy spring 100%, but I didn't let that stop me from celebrating the second Month of spring. I found this skirt on the Mr Price online store a while back. It comes with a matching top, but I didn't like the idea of having a matching top, the skirt has so many colours so it wouldn't be difficult to style it.

I love this skirt because of the inner skirt being shorter than the outer skirt. I get the best of both worlds, a long and short skirt. I am in love with the print, and colours, it's screams spring/summertime.

I prefer a plain top as my skirt will be the center peace I went for a lilac colour tee as I always go for white or black and wanted something different.

I wanted to go all out with my accessories, and one obsession, I've had for a while is headbands. I genuinely love it but suck at wearing it so after hours of research on how to wear a headband and not look ridiculous, I am proud to say I have some tricks up my sleeve. The headband I used is actually a chain, but I wouldn't recommend using a chain as I did with a loose pendant as it moves around while walking and messes up the hair.

If you follow me on Instagram you will know how crazy am about rings atm but I have a new addition, its nail tips as you can see me wearing in my look post.

So this is my look post and if you can see I have a Greek goddess feel with my headband, boho chic with my necklace and rings, an earth child feel with my skirt. I took 3 passions of mine and combined it into one outfit.

Headband: Honey
Top and Skirt: Mr Price Online
Belt: Pay & Save Fabric Store
Necklace: Legit
Bangle: Forever New

Zach's eid outfit look post

1st things 1st it has bring brought to my attention I spell Zach's nick name differently to how he spells it. Well, I say different strokes for different folks, but from today's post onwards I will try and spell it the same way he does.

I thought I was last minute in my Eid shopping but Zach was even worse only getting his shirt for Eid the Friday before Eid. I think when it comes to us and shopping we either get lucky or its just a fail.

I don't know if Zach actually intended to wear this shit as he bought 2 and I bullied him into wearing this on and the way I thought would look good, well I am a stylist after all. I don't take credit for this look as I know Zach had great style, but I do take credit for the pictures.

Jeans: factorie
Bow Tie, Cross Bands: Thruworts
Shirt: Mr Price

So I've been posting all about my Eid outfit and Zach's outfit post, but didn't really get into detail as to how I spent my Eid.

I started my day off with breakfast with my family at home and the minute the men left for the farm I headed to shower and doll myself up. I would say a total of 3 hours for hair, makeup and dressing which I think isn't that bad hey? Let me know in the comments below how long does it take you to get dressed. We then headed to my dads family to spend the day with them. I feel so grateful to have so many people to spend my Eid with and the family that hosted us for Eid really went out of their way and the décor was gorgeous and the food was great and plenty of sweet treats and great company.

Eid Lookpost

In my previous post I showed you all my Eid outfit pieces. In this post I'm showing the complete look.

Originally I had a headband to wear, but decided since I had so much going on already I will pass on the headband. I did my own make up on the day. After endless make up YouTube tutorials  and practice, I think I did a good job.

The heels were very comfortable to move around in. The dress wasn't as heavy as I expected and actually kept me cool during the day. I live in black tights and that is like my second layer of skin so to wear black leggings with an outfit is always a win for me.

I don't personally like the box shape, but for some reason this dress worked on me and flattered me.

it is out of focus but I love the pose

Day after Eid

Yesterday was Eid UL Fetir. This Eid where we offer sacrifices. This Eid from a young age was the Eid where you get to dress a lot cooler and is more fun. If you follow me on social media you would have the recent change I made.... Drum rolls please...

I got the turquoise ombrè!

That's a whole other post on its own. So with turquoise hair comes great responsibility. By that I mean I am limited to the colours I wear at the moment. I don't want to do colour blocking gone wrong.

My outfit:
Dress: I had a dress I was very excited to wear, unfortunately the sleeve length was too short and I was forced to go last minute shopping. I aimed to get a long flowing dress the blew with the wind and hopefully a pastel colour. Reality I am short and nothing I found matching my expectations so I settle for this gorgeous knee length woven tunic. I love this dress for its different textures. It has a woven fabric with leather and gold zips.

Shoes: I bought these shoes before I bought anything else. I loved them before I even bought them. I purchased these beauties online and mistakenly ordered the wrong size and Stylemology was so helpful and managed to change the size. Perfect outfit for these shoes. Washed out ripped indigo jeans with a simple V-neck white tee and easy summer curls. And I wore jewel bands around my ankles from a another pair of shoes.

Accessories: my accessories are what I had purchased a long time ago and I loved it so much and didn't mind repeating it.

Extra Pair of Shoes: the heels on my shoes are 5.5" so I had to get an extra pair of babies so I can make it through the day. I was so pleased to get a flat pair that matches my heels.

Will do a look post of these items soon.
