Accounts

Are you one of those people that owns an account at every retail store? I recently opened my 1st ever account at a retail store, and was awarded a nice opening balance. I still haven't used it up to now. I feel I rather have the money and buy than to buy it with the hope of paying it off. There are a lot of people who can control an account and then there are people who can't. I still don't know which person I am. I do possess a strong self control, but gorgeous clothes are my weakness.

I suppose having an account at a good retailer where you can buy school uniforms, work attire, or funeral/wedding clothes make sense. There are times we need the clothes, but don't have the money. An account helps, but when you are shopping from store to store just to have for the sake of having them, that could lead to problems.

What are your thoughts on having an account? Leave a comment below.

This dress reminds me of an inner slip, its sexy and the lace detail at the bottom of the dress is the main reason I actually bought it. The dress is lined and kept me cool through out the day.
This dress might be a bit racy for work but perfect for a social event.

Best Ideas

Do you ever wonder why you, can do your best work an hour before the deadline? Or when you are finally laying in bed and BHAM you have a great idea or outfit inspiration? I have no idea why it happens, but I do write down every idea I ever get. I have an idea book. I'm likely never going to use 90% of the ideas written down, but sometimes the one idea is the foundation to an even greater idea.

People often ask me what is my end game and I often answer to marry rich. We laugh and then there is this awkward silence, I often wonder what is that person thinking. Am I not pretty enough to bag a rich dude or did they just realize I'm a gold digger? I often respond I'm joking, but most jokes have truth behind it.

My truth behind I would like to marry rich, he should be rich with adventure, life, love, hope. If he happens to have money great but I don't want to ride on anyone's back or expect the man to carry the financial  burden alone, so when I have even the smallest idea, I write it down, because you never know which of your ideas can be that Billion dollar idea!

My on going Battle with Shopping.

I constantly face the battle of should I buy something because it's cheap? I know better, but that doesn't mean I act better. My shopping skills always depend on my budget and reason behind the shopping. I never really shop for an occasion other than Eid. All the other trips to the mall is just to keep up to date with my style and when an occasion presents itself I look into my closet to inspire.

One way I keep myself excited about the things I buy is that I set a date as to when I'll wear it. I was raised you always wear a new garment on a Friday. So I know the day will be a Friday just not which one. The reason I wait to wear a new outfit is because as you grow up less things excite us as when we were kids and having a new garment to look forward to is exciting.

I always regret buying cheap clothes because they get ruined so easily and you can literally see your money washing away each time you get it back from the laundry. I would love to say my new years resolution is to buy quality over quantity, but my wallet will laugh so I am saying I will be more cautions now when buying and taking my time to decide instead of being an impulse buyer.

My thoughts on this look:
I love kimono's! I recently made myself one I can't wait to show it off. This look is so opposite of summer. It was a rainy day here in Johannesburg, South Africa the day I shoot this look. I feel like this look would be great for a festival, also if you into the boho chic, which I am currently obsessed with.

This is such a basic outfit put together with key pieces that brings the whole look together. The utility boots are only going to get better as it ages and black tights have become the new jean for most women.

Brilliant Brunette Colour Protecting Moisturising Shampoo & Conditioner

Last year a did a review on my 1st John Frieda product the Luxurious Volume Blow and it got over 600 views so I'm very happy to do my next review on the Brilliant Brunette Colour Protecting Moisturising Shampoo & Conditioner.

Brilliant Brunette Colour Protecting Moisturising Shampoo & Conditioner.
Protect your rich, deep brunette for up to 12 weeks (*based on 3 washes per week). The Brilliant Brunette Colour Protecting Moisturising Shampoo contains crushed pearls and sweet almond oil, moisturing formula protects and preserves brunette colour as it rehydrates and replenishes dry, colour-treated brunette hair.

It is available in a 250ml size from Clicks Stores with a RSP of R95 each.

My Review:
I had a blue ombrè when I received the Brilliant Brunette Colour Protecting Moisturising Shampoo & Conditioner so I only got to use the beginning of this month. The day I used it I had a lunch date and it was a really hot day so to spend hours on my hair was out of the question. I used the products and just did a blow out on my hair.

Results: My hair felt, smelt and looked amazing it looked like I had, had my hair done at the salon just like the Luxurious Voloume Blow Lotion Spray Root Booster it agreement with my hair and it was so easy to manage and work with after just one wash. Since then I've been using it regularly. When washing my hair now I realized I don't need as much as when I use other brands as a lot goes a long way and also I can stretch out longer periods between washes.

Is that still a thing?

I'd love to say I'm a trendy person but one look at my Facebook profile and I realize I'm as trendy as I think.

1st example:  is having a middle name in your display name still a thing? My middle name on Facebook is drizzle. I have it like for so many years but I've notice it's more common amongst the "older" users then the young ones.

2nd example: I still actually take the time to load photos on Facebook. For some reason I haven't joined all my social media accounts at I have to load the same pic up multiple times on different social media platforms.

3rd example: I don't understand most of the # abbreviations. Yep I google certain things like #mcm I was like does that have to with a MacDonald's burger? No it's man crush Monday! To some it's common sense to me it's a whole other world I'm googling my way through.

I don't know about you'll but I've grown up! It's feel sad thou not to be caught up with the latest lingo but it feels great to not get card at the door.

Golden Globes 2015

Last night was the 2015 Golden Globes award show and of course I was clued to my iPad watching the red carpet for all the fashion.

As a designer, I'm often faced with a client who brings me a page pulled out of a magazine and it usually is a dress from the red carpet so watching red carpet the helps me in 2 ways with clients and getting my latest fashion fix.

Like any other person I have an opinion, so I chose a few photos and added my say to it.

The dresses I Found SEXY!

This is by far my favorite, I can't stop talking about it or looking at. I give a
5 star rating.

At this angle the dress doesn't look as gorgeous as to when she walks and
That slit moves and its all VA VA VOOM. But is she pulling an
Angelina Jolie

My second favorite look of the night.
The detail and simplicity and the fit. Perfection.

I'm Indian of course, so I automatically love anything bling and all bling is
My favorite and the way Reese styled is so elegant and timeless.

I adore a well made draped dress and this is the best couture and the
colour against her complexion and hair is just fantastic and I would
Love to look at this look the whole day.

Who said that you can't wear pants to a red carpet event? That's right
NOONE. And I love this look as most females
Feel so restricted when wearing an evening dress so this I
Different way to dress up to a formal event without
Giving up your comfort.

Outfits I didn't hate nor did I love:

Oh my gosh, I think she needs a "Fixer" in her life. I can't understand this dress.
The length the colours the shape I understand, but that's as far as it goes.

The dress is creased and I get it that happens, but also feel it's been done before.

I think I saw this style when I was a student on the catwalk loved it then
Love it now but not in love with it.

I like this dress, but there's something I can't figure out and that's
Making it hard for me to love.

I feel dress would be perfect for Coachella and it should be tailored to her body

JB for Calvin Klein

CALVIN KLEIN JEANS AND CALVIN KLEIN UNDERWEAR BRING TOGETHER
GLOBAL SUPERSTAR JUSTIN BIEBER  AND SUPERMODEL LARA STONE
FOR SPRING 2015 GLOBAL ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

JOHANNESBURG, 08 JANUARY, 2015 – Calvin Klein, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], today announced that global superstar and 30-time platinum-selling phenom Justin Bieber will be featured alongside Dutch supermodel Lara Stone in the Spring 2015 Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein Underwear global multi-media advertising campaign.

Shot by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in New York City, the brand’s latest campaign features Bieber with Stone in key jeans and underwear styles of the season, furthering the iconic brands’ longstanding legacy of bringing fashion and music together. Campaign imagery and videos are now available here

“Justin joins a long list of musicians, models, celebrities and fashion icons that have been featured in our global advertising campaigns,” said Melisa Goldie, Chief Marketing Officer of Calvin Klein, Inc. “Justin’s global recognition, expressed affinity for the brand, and powerful persona bring a compelling energy to our jeans and underwear brands.”

“Calvin Klein is such an iconic brand and I am excited and honored to become a part of the Calvin Klein brand legacy with this campaign. I have been a longtime fan of the brand and have worn their jeans and underwear for a while, so this is kind of a dream come true,” said Bieber. “This is the beginning of an exciting new year for me, personally and professionally, and being a part of this campaign has been a fantastic opportunity and experience.”

Calvin Klein’s ongoing connection to music began with one of the brand’s earliest and most iconic campaigns which memorably featured Mark “Marky-Mark” Wahlberg alongside model Kate Moss. Over the years, the house has continued its association with music and pop culture, dressing and supporting a range of musicians around the world. This past year alone, those artists included talent such as Taylor Swift, Drake, Sam Smith, Kanye West, Harry Styles, Ciara, Usher, Future, Rita Ora, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Iggy Azalea, Fergie, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Common, Solange Knowles, Big Sean, and Tinie Tempah.

The campaign, which was announced globally via social media yesterday, will roll out worldwide in 20 countries spanning digital, outdoor and print advertising, as well as exciting experiential components, timed to coincide with March 2015 magazine issues. This season will represent Calvin Klein’s most digitally-focused campaign to date with an increased social presence to amplify and create conversation around the campaign, engaging both Calvin Klein’s and Bieber’s fans and followers. The campaign will also feature the #mycalvins call to action that the brand initiated last February, which invites fans of the brand to participate in the social media campaign by posting a selfie of themselves wearing Calvin Klein

Musician, dancer, actor and singer-songwriter, Bieber – who was recently ranked by Twitter as the #1 most tweeted about musical artist of 2014 – has released four number-one albums to-date and has starred in two films, Never Say Never (2011) and Believe (2013). In 2011, he was nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy. In 2013, Bieber received a Diamond award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to recognize his single “Baby” as the best-selling digital song of all-time with over 9.3 million copies sold. That same year, he was also awarded a Teen Choice Award for “Choice Male Artist” and “Choice Single: Male Artist” for his song “Beauty and a Beat.” His latest album, Journals, was released last year, one song per week, with nearly all of the songs appearing on the Top 40 charts. For more information, visit justinbiebermusic.com.

Stone, considered one of today’s top supermodels, has a long-standing relationship with the house; she was first introduced on the Calvin Klein Collection runway at the Spring 2007 show and has been the face of multiple global advertising campaigns for the house’s lifestyle brands since Fall 2010.

“Given my on-going relationship with the house, this shoot reunited me with my Calvin Klein family – and it was really fun working with Justin,” said Stone. “We had a great time on set and we had a lot of fun shooting the campaign. I think the shoot really captured the energy of the Calvin Klein brand.”

Why so serious?

don't see myself as a serious person but lately I've been getting the "Why don't you smile?" question a lot. Why should I be smiling all the time? That's a better question. Also, having to say no nothing is wrong this is how I look so deal with it is something I say far too often than I'd like to say.

Do we have to smile in a photo? I know the pout is a big thing, but why can't I just look into the camera and press click? I can think about how many quotes I've read about smiling and people falling in love with it and it's all positive.

Let's get to my today's OOTD:

It's summer, why not show off my awesome tan I've been working on this festive season. The 1st primary school I attended uniform was baby blue. I think a person tends to run away from the colour of your uniform, but I think many years have passed and I can confidently wear a baby blue shade dress without thinking about school.

Regardless of where you go you will spot a pair of all stars. I love all stars and of course I had to get myself a pair. I thought since I am more of a sandal kinda girl I will start my collection with the most basic converse there is the white canvas low cut lace up shoe.

My hair: I don't know if I did any hair guru proud, but I love this hairstyle and tried my best to do it.
