Romance

Romance yes, today I will be going on about love. I feel like my outfit is romantic and fun, no ladies and boys, I will not be speaking be about my love life, but rather about my outfit that is romantic and has all the elements I look for in a partner.

My Skirt: is chiffon and it’s just one layer so it’s sheer which for me represents light hearted fun which I love having. (Made by me)

My Thighs: is my best friend which I feel is the key to romance lasting. (Woolworths)

My Jersey: is providing me warmth just like a true romance will. (Legit)

My Shoes: they are multi colour pep toe heel which represents both personalities in a relationship coming together like a puzzle. (Rage)

 Ring: Mr Price
Handbag: was my grandmothers
Sunglasses: Cotton On

Something New, Something Blue...

As you can guess there is something blue in my outfit post. I love these blue jeans; I’ve had them for a while and got them from Edgars last year sometime it retailed for R299.95. My top is from legit and got it on sale it was R20 I think (what a bargain) I love it and have worn it on numerous occasions and it has washed well. Shoes are from the oriental plaza in Johannesburg, what I love about them is how girly they are they not that comfy, but I love them so much to not wear them.

Tips on wearing colorful skinnies:

           1.     Keep the rest of your colors simple. I prefer to go more for nutral colours because it looks tasteful paring two bright colors does work I just prefer to look more effortless than busy.
           2.       If you do want to bring in a bright colour, bring it in with your accessories.
           3.       You can wear more than two colors in an outfit I am wearing 3 different shades, but because each one is not loud it works well together.

This look is great for cocktails with a friend, or date with your special one I wouldn’t recommend heels for outdoor activities it will just sink into the grass.

Lazy Wear Made Easy

Do you ever just feel like dressing up and having tea and cupcakes? Well, that’s me every day and I do try to make each day a blessing, but sometimes life catches up to me and I’m stuck doing errands and just throw on something so I can get my day started and moving.

This got me to thinking that if I bought clothes that made me happy and when I rushed to dress just to be dressed and I put on the items I loved I would still look fabulous, so I decided to stop buying to have quantity and have quality.

A key item to lazy dressing is a good jeans

    The Pink Hijab Supper

Last week Friday I attended the Pink hijab supper, at the lifestyle centre in Fordsburg. The supper was to bring awareness to breast cancer and also raise funds for the people in Syria.

On arrival I was really impressed with how organized the parking was set up. I didn’t have to drive around looking for parking, I was directed where to go and I instantly found parking.
The lifestyle centre was filled with pink heads of all shades and the ladies were dressed to impress. Men attended as well, but set in a whole other section because of it being an Islamic event and respecting the hijab guild lines.
I was really surprised to see one lady had started this pink hijab supper all by herself and how it has grown. I really do admire her for all she has done so far.

The décor was too cute it was pink, silver and white.
The starter was Halwa and there were 2 mins mutton curry and rice, and chicken and pasta of the food were finger looking good, hehe.
I attended the supper with my mom, friends and cousins and we really had a wonderful time.

The program had guest speakers as well performers performing Nasheeds. There was an auction to raise funds for Syria and then it was tea time.
I would recommend everyone to support this course, not only is it for a good course, but it is well organized, informative and entertaining.
